I bought this book because of the many great reviews. I should have done my homework and looked up the author. She is British, and "healthy British cooking" is an oxymoron. Many recipes call for heavy cream, sugar, boullion cubes (which are typically packed with MSG, salt, etc.); and the preferred method of cooking is frying (not baking, pouching, or anything else that's much healthier). This book may be a step up from the regular British fare but that's not saying much.
