Must Have!!! - M. Doyle - Washington, USA
Because my family's budget is tight right now I checked this book out from the library, but will now be putting my pennies aside to purchase it! I have been looking for some good solid recipes to spring board from and this book is full of them!!! I'm never one to follow a recipe, always looking at them as a source of inspiration instead of directions. This book does an excellent job of explaining the basics in a clear manner that makes it easy to adjust or change to your liking. A lot of whole food cookbooks have you buying tons of expensive organic vegetables which aren't in our family's budget. This book uses more basic common staples like beans and rice and supplements them with the more costly items. If you come from a family of meat and potato eaters, or boxed and frozen food, this is a good introductory book to understand the basics of good healthy eating. The cooking skills required are not difficult or complex.
